About Jam Club

Jamie is Chief Jam Coach at Jam Club.  

He is a husband, father of three, and has spent most of his life in Toronto.  He has a Commerce Degree from McGill University and studied  Audio Engineering at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles.

Jamie has been passionate about music in many ways for over 40 years.  He spent his 20s in sound engineering and music production, and has written songs for film, TV,  and radio.  He has worked with some of the biggest artists in the world during his time at Ocean Way Recording in Hollywood.  He loves playing guitar around a campfire, and has been in many bands over the years. Jamie is a big supporter of open mic, and open jam nights, and loves concerts and music festivals.

Jackson is Lead Jam Coach at Jam Club.  

He is an incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist that performs regularly around Toronto in several bands, including Squid Party, Framboise and others.  He leads the Devotion concert series that covers two albums from start to back on any given night.  Jackson also launched and continues to lead the Big FamJam.  This legendary night is a fixture in Toronto's jam scene and currently runs every Tuesday evening at Drom Taberna on Queen Street.  

Coming from a musical family, formally trained as a teacher, and passionate about developing musical ability in others, Jackson is one of a kind - it goes without saying he knows a little something about jamming.

Will is a Jam Coach with Jam Club. 

Will plays lead guitar, drums, and keys, and founded By Request Live Band Karaoke - a live karaoke band which provides guests with the opportunity to sing with a live band. When BRLBK isn't playing top 40 music at corporate events and weddings, they are putting on theme nights around the city - tributes to Nirvana, 1990s pop punk, System of a Down and tons more.

Will has a teaching degree from OISE and a degree in Classical Guitar Performance.  He loves hanging with musicians, making music, or just talking gear, theory and technique.  He’s equally happy to let everyone vibe without overthinking anything at all….We're here to jam, right?

 Tarek Funk is a Jam Coach with Jam Club, based in Hamilton.

Tarek is an MC, multi-instrumentalist and poet, with extensive experience performing, educating and fronting bands. He is an Artist Educator with the Art Gallery of Hamilton since 2024, and worked with The Hamilton Conservatory of Music from 2018-2022, facilitating youth music workshops in drumming, live-looping, and song-writing/recording.  Most comfortable at the microphone or on saxophone, Tarek also plays piano, flute, drums and bass.  

Elsa is a Jam Coach with Jam Club, based in Toronto.  Also known as Wild Black, Elsa is a songwriter, musician, producer, and multidisciplinary creative with over 20 years of experience. She has played in touring bands across a range of genres, opened for artists including Metric, Tegan & Sara, and Janelle Monáe, and has landed sync placements in shows streaming on Netflix, Crave, and CBC Gem. Elsa works as a mentor and performance coach with SaskMusic and has served as a facilitator and instructor with Girls Rock Camp Saskatoon and Paved Arts DIY Youth Music Video Camp. She also loves to create visuals, whether working as a director, videographer, or editor, and is developing her practice as a screen composer.

Chris is a Jam Coach with Jam Club, based in Toronto.

Chris has over 20 years of experience in the music industry, both on the label side and as an artist. Originally a drummer in a punk band, he then went on to become an A&R exec for Universal Music, later founding an independent artist development company with Grayson Music. He’s worked with hundreds of artists across multiple genres, helping shape their creative vision. Chris believes there's nothing quite like the collective effervescence found in playing music as a group, and he loves helping musicians discover that feeling.

 Malcom Masu is a Jam Coach with Jam Club, based in Hamilton. He is a Peruvian musician influenced by both Latin-American and Afro-American genres, and his guitar playing is technically influenced in versatility. He is an active Hamilton-based musician and a Mohawk College Music Program Graduate.  Malcom can often be found giving music lessons at Long & McQuade in Hamilton.  While the guitar is his main instrument, he is also comfortable playing the bass, piano and drums. 

 Tony Coleman is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and film producer. He has toured as a bassist and singer and created music for film and television. His feature documentary MIGHTY UKE is an international cult hit, encouraging people around the world to start making music together. In Tony’s own words “Jamming is a universal language. I have jammed with young and old, in a dozen different countries, and no matter where you are, when a group of people get into a groove together, the results are magical.” 

James Favron is a Jam Coach with Jam Club, based in Hamilton.   

Favron is a full-time music artist with over 20 years of experience on stage and in studio and has written and performed songs across a broad range of genres. James is also an arts educator with The Art Gallery of Hamilton and Hamilton Music Collective as well as a performance coach and artist mentor with Lawson Vocal Studios in Toronto. He was recently a short-list nominee for the 2026 Hamilton Arts Awards and has been recognized by Alan Cross and Slaight Music as a stand out Artist. 

KeshAv Sharma-Jaitly is a Jam Coach with Jam Club, based in Toronto.

He is also a sound engineer, music producer, and percussionist. He is a graduate of U of T’s Music Technology and Digital Media Masters program, as well as U of T’s classical percussion program (BMus). Keshav has been producing, recording, and mixing music for five years, working with artists and voice actors in Canada and the USA. He releases original music as pyari, and released his debut single “Black Jeans” in 2023. Keshav continues to play in the GTA as a freelance percussionist and drummer for the band Torre. He has scored several films, such as Joey Litvak’s Ghost Camera, a feature film debuted by Bleeding Edge in 2024.
